What Is Chris Farrell Membership?

What were your thoughts when you read the title of this review? Shock? Disbelief? Intrigue? Did you laugh to yourself saying “Impossible”, Did you nearly choke on your coffee?

I pretty much went through all of those above mentioned stages, except I think I was drinking tea instead of coffee when I first heard about $1 000 000 in only 24 hours 🙂

But this is not a joke. A man by the name of Chris Farrell really did make $1 000 000 in only 24 hours through his online business. But here is the really crazy thing; he made this amount only two years after starting his online business from scratch. This proves that the possibilities in having your own online business are ENDLESS!

Could this be you?

Why am I talking about Chris Farrell? Well, as you can see by the name of the product, Chris Farrell Membership, that Chris Farrell is the guy behind the product. I don’t know about you, but I will always listen to a guy who has proven that what he teaches works.

And Chris Farrell has proven that he knows what he is doing.

Chris Farrell Membership (from now referred to as CFM) is a video-based training system that teaches you from scratch how to build an online business according to the method that Chris Farrell uses himself.

The first thing that stood out to me was how great a teacher Chris Farrell is. Chris Farrell had my attention right from the Introduction video all the way through his 31-day training videos. He explains everything very clearly. I cannot recall being confused about what he was trying to say even once. This is a very rare quality. He also seems to be a genuinely nice guy. I found that I could trust what he was saying to me.

All the videos are very well designed and don’t distract you from what is being taught at all. Another great thing about the videos is that very few of them exceed the 10-minute mark. This is especially great for people with short attention spans like me 🙂

It Sounds Like A Great Program, Are There Any Negatives?

I said this in my Wealthy Affiliate review, it is impossible to have a perfect product even if it may appear perfect at face value. Every product will have Pros and Cons, it’s just that the good products have a lot more Pros than Cons.

Here is a list of Pros and Cons for CFM:

Pros:

  • Easy to join
  • Relatively affordable to start off with ($4.95 for the 1st week)
  • Easy to navigate through the various training modules
  • It is exceptionally easy to understand
  • Chris Farrell has proven that his methods work
  • Voted best Online Income Service since 2011 by IM Report Card
  • 30 Day Money Back Guarantee
  • Done For You website (I will explain this later)
  • It is FUN

Cons:

  • There is no FREE trial
  • Credit Card is required up front
  • Mainly for absolute beginners
  • Monthly fee of $37 does not include all the tools that you need
  • Hosting is not included in your monthly fee (Hosting is included in Wealthy Affiliate’s fee)
  • It only focusses on one online business model, i.e. have a landing page, get people to subscribe and build your list..

Is Chris Farrell Membership For You?

CFM is for anyone who wants to learn how to build an online business from scratch. It is definitely geared more towards absolute beginners than those who already have an up and running online business, but even experienced online business entrepreneurs can find some value in the program.

I will say it again, CFM is very easy to understand, so if you have absolutely NO knowledge on how to start an online business, CFM will teach you how to do it and how to do it well.

What Exactly Does The Training Cover?

As already mentioned CFM covers everything that you need to build a successful online business, from finding your Niche to building your own website to building traffic.

Here is an overview of what the training covers:

The course that will take you from having no knowledge to having a fully functional online business is called ‘10 Minutes to Success“. It is called ‘10 Minutes to Success‘ because the videos are mostly less than 10 minutes each. Only a few videos go over 10 minutes. In this course you will learn how to:

  • Find a Profitable Niche
  • Purchase a Domain Name
  • Get Hosting
  • Change Name Servers
  • Install WordPress
  • Set Up An AWeber Account
  • Create Opt-In Forms
  • Source Products
  • Generate Traffic
  • And More….

There is a total of 31 videos. I personally finished all 31 in three evenings. They are that easy to go through…

Once you have gone through the ‘10 Minutes to Success‘ course, you can then go to more specific skill training on

  • Facebook Ads
  • Video Marketing
  • GoToWebinar
  • LeadPages
  • Niches
  • WordPress
  • And more…

Then there is a feature called ‘Money Making Labs‘ which will regularly add new training material to try and keep all their training material up to date.

What Tools Are Included In Your CFM Membership?

Unfortunately, there aren’t many tools that are included in your monthly premium of $37 p/m. You will still need to get an AWeber Account and purchase a domain (both of these are non-negotiables, you cannot do anything without them).

BUTSnapshot(5)

You do get something really awesome. You get already made templates for the business that you are to build in ‘10 Minutes to Success‘ and then you get what’s called ‘Done For You‘ websites for FREE. What makes this awesome is the fact that everything is ready for you to use, from the website template to the FREE Gift that you give to new subscribers to the e-mail templates already set up.

All you need to do is choose which niche you want out of the various options and just set it all up, which you will be guided on how to do via video.

It All Sounds Good, But Is There Support?

SnapshotYes, there is support, but I have not personally had to use it, so I cannot say whether the support is helpful and efficient or not. I haven’t read any negative comments on the support which is a good thing.

One thing that is a downer is that you can’t get personal support from Chris Farrell himself, unlike Wealthy Affiliate (read my review here), where you have personal support from the owners, Kyle and Carson.

But there is a community within CFM that you can get help from if you get stuck with anything.

How Much Does It Really Cost?

For the 1st week it will cost you $4.95, but thereafter it will be $37 p/m.

On top of the $37 you will need to get an AWeber account which is currently $19 p/m.

You will also need to register a domain which is about $12 per year ($10 p/m) and get hosting for about $8 p/m

Your total monthly cost will be $74 p/m.

What’s My Final Verdict?

This is a very good product. It has so many great qualities, from an honest person who stands behind his product, Chris Farrell, to brilliantly laid out training material. It is easy to follow, easy to understand and it teaches a method that definitely works.

BUT

It still does not match up to my No.1 Recommendation, Wealthy Affiliate (read my review here).

Here is a table comparing Chris Farrell Membership and Wealthy Affiliate:

  1. Excellent review on Chris Farrell. This is a program I have been wanting to try out since I heard of it, but I have been very content with WA. What are your thoughts, how does Chris Farrell compare to WA. I know you give him a lower score but just curious why this is. Don’t get me wrong, I believe WA is the best program out there today, and I have tried quite a few, but I just want to get your take on this. Thanks!

    • Hi! Mimi.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

As I said in my review, CFM is an excellent program. I highly recommend the program for anyone who is interested, but it is still lacking in a lot of areas compared to Wealthy Affiliate, namely the fact that CFM is mainly about building a 3 page website which is primarily a landing page designed to build your e-mail list / s in order for your to sell your products through e-mail campaigns, whereas Wealthy Affiliate teaches you how to build a genuine online business that can be used in any niche. WA teaches you how to take your passion and turn it into an online business. I believe that the WA method offers a lot more value to you, but most importantly to your audience.

WA is also cheaper than CFM, everything is included in the monthly fee. I also believe that the WA community is more involved than with CFM.

WA offers more advanced training, whereas CFM is more geared towards beginners.

That being said, I am definitely going to use what I learned at CFM in my WA business model.

My suggestion is to try out CFM for the 1st week (it’s only $4.95), and go through as much training as possible. It is a lot of fun (I did in 3 evenings).

I hope that this helps, Mimi?

      Thanks again for your comment.

      Blessings.

  2. Very detailed review, gave me all the information I could have wanted about a program like this.

However, no free trial and with the hosting not included I don’t think I would go for it, especially as I’m already a very happy member of Wealthy Affiliate.

A good thing to keep on my radar though, and now I can know for sure that it’s at least legit!

    • Hi! Steph.

Thanks for taking the time to go through my CFM review. I appreciate the feedback.

WA is really amazing and I don’t believe there is any need to go anywhere else. WA is a one stop shop and offers a lot of value for the money that you pay.

But if you are still curious, try out CFM, it is only $4.95, and I managed to go through the main course called ’10 Minutes to Success’ in only 3 evenings.

The best of luck to you.

      Blessings.

  3. My reaction the title was “unbelievable!”. I’m curious what product made him so much many in such as short time?

I’m a member of Wealthy Affiliate and I know that you know both programs very well. So, what do you think which one is better for someone who already has some knowledge about internet marketing, but needs to learn more to learn more?

    • Hi! Kristof.

Thanks for reading my CFM review and thanks for your question.

Chris Farrell made that amount from sales of a product called AffiliateDotCom (check it out here http://www.affiliatedotcom.com) by Mike Filsaime and Chris Farrell himself.

As I said in my review, I highly recommend CFM, but it still does not stand up to Wealthy Affiliate, because Wealthy Affiliate teaches you so much more and is, in the end, better value for money.

Even though I already had some internet marketing knowledge going into the CFM training, I still learned some valuable techniques that I never learned on WA (although I haven’t finished my training so I still might come across it later on), but I managed to get through the bulk of the training in the 10 Minutes to Success module in only 3 evenings, yet I have taken 2 months with WA to get through only a portion of the training, which proves that WA has far more to offer.

CFM solely focussed on building a website with a landing page, that will get people to sign up and therefore build your list so that you can have e-mail campaigns, which is where you make your money. WA teaches you how to build a business on what you are passionate about, by writing content which will, in the long run, build a much stronger and more sustainable business, whereas CFM will rely on constant promotion to get traffic to your site, e.g. with Facebook ads.

Now that being said I am definitely going to implement what I learned from CFM into my current website. There is definitely value there.

I suggest just trying out CFM for the 1st week (it is only $4.95) and see for yourself. Use that week to go through as many videos as possible. It is really fun, the videos are fantastic, Chris Farrell is very enjoyable to watch and listen to. Great teacher.

      I hope that this helps.

      Thanks again for your question.

      Blessings.

  4. Hello John,

Personally I’m a Wealthy Affiliate member for a year already. Just before joining Wealthy Affiliate I started online and I was considering to join Chris Farrell Membership because I needed some good training to help me get started.

I didn’t knew about Wealthy Affiliate by that time, but as I’ve been researching online I found out that Wealthy Affiliate might be better than CFM.

And in my opinion it really is. Now I am not saying CFM is not a good program, it’s actually one of the few legit programs out there and Chris Farrell is a very likeable person and his lessons are very easy to understand.

The difference between CFM and WA is that the training on CFM is based more on building sales page or membership type of websites and creating your own products like an e-book or video courses, while WA training is based on building long term online businesses like blogs and promoting affiliate products.

So choosing between this two programs it really depends on what the person who wants to start a website wants to do online.

They are both awesome and legit programs, but what CFM is missing is a community and the fact that you can socialize with like minded people and help each other succeed.

    Best,
    Cristina

    • Hey! Christina.

Thanks for commenting on my review. I agree with you 100%.

It definitely boils down to what direction you want your online business to take. CFM definitely focusses on building one’s list through landing pages, which is not a bad thing, in fact, I will be implementing a lot of what I learned about building lists and landing pages to my WA business model, but you are limiting yourself if all you do is build landing pages.

WA will teach you how to build a business with a greater foundation than the CFM model due to WA being about content and offering your expertise to your audience instead of just trying to sell something.

Thanks again for taking the time to go through my review.

      All the best.

      Blessings.

  5. Hello John Dunn, thank you for your detailed review of both products. I also do think that Wealthy Affiliates is the best so far. From what I have experienced before.

    • Hi! Mariam.

Thanks for taking the time to read through my review.

Both products are good, but in the end, Wealthy Affiliate offers more in terms of teaching material and overall value.

      All the best to you.

      Blessings.

  6. Great review! Differences between the two programs are clear. And, above all, I love your conversational writing. You really seem to be a person to trust. Ciao!

    • Hi! Laura.

Thanks for your very kind words. I’m so grateful for your encouraging words.

My goal for this review and for my website, in general, is to help others along on their online business journey. If I’m not trust-worthy then I must stop immediately with this business.

Thanks again for stopping by and for your comments.

      All the best to you.

      Blessings.

  7. Great review mate. To the point, warm in it’s tone and very informative.
Really dug the CFM vs WA comparison too. Well done!

    • Hi! Bruce.

Thanks for reading my review. I really appreciate your compliments and feedback.

      All the best.

      Blessings.

  8. Hey John,
thanks for the thorough review on Chris Farell Membership. I have been looking into it and your review really gave me a good idea what it’s all about.
I agree with the other people saying that having a simple landing page and building an e-mail list through it may not be the best business model. Sure it can work, but it relies mostly on paid traffic and does not seem like a sustainable long-term thing.
    Keep up the good work.

    • Hi! Alex.

Thanks for taking the time to go through my review. I really appreciate it. I’m glad that the review could shed some more light on CFM for you.

As I showed in my review, I couldn’t help but really like and appreciate CFM, but you are correct in bringing up the point about a business model that is based solely on landing pages and building lists is not the most sustainable model. This is why Wealthy Affiliate beats CFM.

WA teaches you how to build an online business that will eventually look after itself in a sense. It may take longer to build, but the foundation will be very, very strong.

      All the best to you.

      Blessings.
